Re-vive, Re-use, Re-color
Studio& designed a tactile publication to visualize the concept behind the collection Re-vive by Studio Rens for Tarkett. Through a manual dyeing process applied to out-of-date collections, the carpets are re-colored with red dye, giving them a new life. Textured organic paper with natural imperfections corresponds to the concept of used carpets, which bear their own imperfections. A red cotton thread binding reflects the overall theme of dyeing yarns red. To consistently convey the idea of Re-vive throughout the content, we devised chapter titles that play on the 're-' prefix: Re-vive, Re-invent, Re-colour, Re-dye, Re-use, Re-new, and Re-sult.
‘Thanks to our intensive and regular collaboration, we understand each other flawlessly, so that few words are needed and the graphic design language matches the clarity and strength that we want to radiate with our projects.’
