A Story About a Cabinet
The New Standard: A magazine-style catalog for bespoke Dutch cabinets brand Kolenik, created with Alexandra Onderwater. Kolenik is a luxury cabinet brand making sustainable, custom-designed pieces. The original catalog idea didn't fully capture the rich stories, attention to detail, and sustainable focus behind each design. Creative strategist Alexandra Onderwater invited us to rethink the concept, resulting in a beautifully crafted publication that works as both an offline catalog and a guide for future brand communication, like packaging and accessories. We focused on the idea that true luxury engages the senses. The magazine tells five stories about smell, touch, sight, and other sensory experiences, all tied to the cabinets' features. It reflects Kolenik's mission to create timeless, well-made designs that bring calm and confidence to daily life. To add depth, we worked with Raw Color to create a poetic visual essay, giving the furniture an emotional touch.
